In partnership with Bridgestone Ireland, the Tree Council of Ireland launched an ambitious nationwide tree-planting initiative in 2020, beginning with a flagship project in Athenry, Co. Galway. A second phase followed in 2021, marking the beginning of a long-term commitment to reforestation, biodiversity enhancement, and environmental stewardship.

Together, the Tree Council of Ireland and Bridgestone Ireland have committed to planting more than 15,000 native trees across the country, demonstrating their shared dedication to sustainability and the protection of Ireland's natural heritage.

This partnership continues to flourish. In 2025, a further 1,500 native Scots pine trees were planted at Mondello Park, Co. Kildare, expanding the network of biodiverse woodlands established through this collaboration. Discussions are already underway for future planting projects, reflecting a shared ambition to address environmental challenges, strengthen climate resilience, and create lasting benefits for wildlife and local communities.

The Tree Council of Ireland is proud to work alongside Bridgestone Ireland in delivering meaningful environmental projects that will leave a positive legacy for generations to come.
