In partnership with Bridgestone Ireland, the Tree Council of Ireland launched an ambitious nationwide tree-planting initiative in 2020, beginning with a flagship project in Athenry, Co. Galway. This was followed by a second phase in 2021, marking the start of a long-term commitment to reforestation and environmental stewardship.

Together, the Tree Council and Bridgestone Ireland aim to plant over 15,000 trees across the country, a powerful demonstration of their shared dedication to sustainability and the protection of Ireland’s natural heritage.

This partnership continues to grow. In 2025, 1,500 native Scots Pine trees were planted at Mondello Park, Co. Kildare, adding to the expanding network of biodiversity-rich woodlands. Discussions are ongoing for future planting projects, reflecting a proactive and evolving approach to tackling environmental challenges and enhancing Ireland’s ecological resilience.
