Wonders of Wood Series

Teeling Whiskey has partnered with the Tree Council of Ireland through its innovative Wonders of Wood series, combining exceptional Irish whiskey craftsmanship with a long-term commitment to environmental sustainability. The limited-edition series explores the influence of rare and distinctive virgin oak casks on Irish Single Pot Still whiskey, while supporting the restoration of Ireland’s native woodlands.

As part of the partnership, Teeling Whiskey has committed to funding the planting of native Irish trees through the Tree Council of Ireland, helping to create and expand woodlands across County Wicklow. The initiative has grown year on year, with:

2022: 1,000 native Irish trees planted at Glencree, Co. Wicklow.
2023: A further 1,000 native Irish trees planted at Glencullen, Co. Dublin
2024: 1,000 native Irish trees planted at Blessington, Co. Wicklow.
2025: A further 1,000 native Irish trees planted at Lacken, Co. Wicklow.

Since 2022, the partnership has resulted in the planting of 4,000 native Irish trees, creating lasting environmental benefits through increased biodiversity, enhanced wildlife habitats, carbon capture, and the restoration of Ireland’s native tree cover. It demonstrates how innovation and sustainability can work hand in hand, creating a positive legacy for future generations.

The Wonders of Wood series has also received international recognition, including the prestigious title of World’s Best Single Pot Still Whiskey in 2022. By combining award-winning craftsmanship with practical environmental action, Teeling Whiskey and the Tree Council of Ireland continue to demonstrate how business partnerships can make a meaningful contribution to Ireland’s natural heritage while celebrating the country's rich distilling tradition.
