National Tree Week is an annual event organised by the Tree Council of Ireland in partnership with Coillte.

It is the largest tree celebration in the country, providing a unique opportunity for people to come together and celebrate the beauty and importance of Ireland's trees!

The Tree Council of Ireland and the Irish Tree Society initiated the Tree Register of Ireland project in 1999 with the aim of compiling a database of trees in Ireland.

To date, there are over 11,000 trees on the register which are recorded using GPS technology to accurately determine tree location.
