To commemorate SPAR’s 60 years in Ireland in 2023, the company launched an ambitious initiative titled Team Tree. As part of this nationwide project, 20,000 native trees were successfully planted across Ireland, creating lasting woodland areas as a meaningful tribute to this significant milestone.

SPAR’s dedication to environmental stewardship has been demonstrated through its previous partnership with the Tree Council of Ireland, including its sponsorship of National Tree Day, held annually in October. Through this collaboration, SPAR played an important role in encouraging tree planting among schoolchildren across the country. National Tree Day served as an engaging platform to inspire young people, highlighting the positive impact individuals can have on the environment.
